I first heard softcult on university radio last year. They play a luscious shoe-gazy style with a punky edge. On their bandcamp bio, they call it "riotgaze". Sometimes sweeping and soaring. Sometimes sad and haunting. Sometimes both. Based out of Kitchener, Ontario in Canada, they just released their first full-length album. They are touring right now.
