Today I started to draw a few new enemy sprites for RogueBox Adventures.
Originally I didn't had plans to add the new dungeon, I started to work on a while ago, in the next release.
But now I had some nice idea how to include this thing in the games main story with relatively low effort.
So it is time to populate this dungeon properly I guess.
I plan to use it as some kind of after game challenge because I think there isn't much to do after defeating the main boss.

Past weekend I started to work on #rba again. Did nothing too big so far but several bugfixes and smaller fixes. I reworked the code for explosions a bit. Now it should be much more relateable.

Feels good to be back to development.

I've got a really, really long comment on the itch.io-page of #rba . It's super motivating to hear of someone who actually spent a lot of hours with my game and did enjoy it. I think I'll try to return to development this weekend if possible.

I finaly did it!
I've added a new psydo-dynamic light system to RogueBox Adventures!
This one is used when you use a torch or similar.
Look at the light/shadow effects on the walls and the little shadows for monsters and objects.
I think this is much cooler than the boring circle of light I used before.

I wasn't able to sleep yesterday. So, I watched some pixel art tutorial videos.
The one about drawing rocks somehow sticked to me.

I posted no update on #rba in a while.
Thats partly because my job took a lot of my attention and partly just because I was lazy.
But I did some nice progress.
I've added pastures to the game that are needed to breed animeals (chicken, sheep, cows). Furthermore I've implemented a simple mechanic for beekeeping what allows to produce wax and honey. On top of this I added a bit new deco stuff. Namely carpets and windows.

Here is a screenshot of the new huge demons in their natural habitat. I called them 'Greed Demons'.
Furthermore I've implementated knockback into RogueboxAdventures. This means if one of this big guis hits you, you#ll move one tile in the opposite direction. If this tile is blocked by a wall or somethin similar you'll get extra damage.

Look at this huge demon on the left. It's 1,5 times as tall as a normal character. I think I'll use it as an inhabitant of the "Demon Keep"(New mini-dungeon)
I hope more big monsters like this could spice up the game a bit. I'm thinking about stuff like dragons, cyclops or trolls.
Thanks to my latest changes everything up to the double size of a normal NPC should be no problem.
