Iā€™m snow disappointed! Forecast called for the northern edge of the #northeaster to bring us up to 5ā€ (12.5 cm) of #snow, but temps are only now low enough for flakes to fall instead of #rain. Soon it will be daylight and temps will rise again. Instead of + snow, this rain-on-snow event is causing #Vermont to lose a lot of snow. The Mountain Hydrology Group at INSTAAR just released their 2/1/23 real-time snow water equivalent (SWE) report. Percent of 2001-2021 average ranges btw. 174-250+%. Check it out! We have updated our model and have added comparisons to airborne snow.
