This was my 20th year of riding #RAGBRAI It was on paper one of the easiest, but due to the weather conditions (humidity, headwinds and high overnight temperatures) was one of the most difficult I’ve ever ridden. This story does a great job describing the weather conditions for this year’s ride. Photo courtesy of Dan Verrips

Last day of #RAGBRAI #bicycle trip across #Iowa.

Just before the two largest hills on the entire route!

Climbing out of the #TurkeyRiver valley and then a quick drop to the #MississippiRiver at #Guttenberg.

#RAGBRAI LII 443 miles booked for the 7 days So many to thank, from Pork Belly Ventures for the charter to numerous volunteer community organizations to EMS for keeping 20,000 safe. Only 51 weeks to RAGBRAI LIII
#RAGBRAI LII Day 7 62 miles 43mph peak on the Garber road Lots of Amish w/ treats
#RAGBRAI LII Day 6 A foggy 34 miles to Oelwein
#RAGBRAI LII Day 5 Lightning, heavy rain overnight. Short 50 mile ride into Cedar Falls
#RAGBRAI LII Day 4 To Iowa Falls A heat emergency, so 22,000 dummies like me biked 76 miles. Out by 5:30 - doing it in the dark helps. At the finish I'm taking full advantage of the mister fans.
#RAGBRAI LII Day 3 Huge US flags, huge fish Pie and food trucks galore
