Dear lazyweb: can anyone recommend a quiet or fanless PC setup with remote (via mobile phone?), HDMI and perhaps one which also works as a reliable HDMI switch?

It'll mainly be playing movies, quite possibly just using VLC, and music in .flac files.

I have tried a couple of all-in-one media centre installations and found them buggy and/or slow. Gave up.

With the right hardware, Windoze with VLC and a few tweaks would work fine, I reckon.
