After #kDrama #ProBono I completed my 5th rewatch of #twDrama #LoveTimeless. All 5 rewatches have been selective, watching ONLY the STP arc. Each time, the OTP arc troubles me but the STP move me. When you can watch a scene for the 6th time in 9 years and STILL get damp-eyed, you know it's great.

The thoroughly satisfying rewatch also cemented my plan to make this year a year of rewatches. My short PTW isn't gonig to baloon out this year, so it's time for same déjà view

8.25/10 for #kDrama #ProBono
It did a great job of delivering what a K-drama is supposed to.
Because it is escapist fantasy the good guys won in satisfying ways, but at the same time the drama shone a light on some truly horrific social and legal ills.
It gets extra marks for having no romance between the leads and for having a really credible, intelligent, nuanced villain.
It loses points for Netflix's incredibly aggravating obsession with movie-length episodes, but overall a great watch

After my "automatic hard pass" actor yesterday, time for a "LOVE HIM" post for balance
Into ep2 of #kDrama #ProBono and THIS familiar face pops up. Even just in a cameo, the marvellous Sung Dong Il will at the very least delay a drop for any #kDrama he appears in.

Although most of his cameos are 'shouty' roles like this one, his partnership with Lee Il Hwa in Reply 97 and 94 was amazing, and his performance in the 'cancer' episode of #Reply94 was phenomenally moving and powerful.

Yes, #PhantomLawyer is the one with ghosts. I'm finding it to be quite entertaining, as Yoo Yeon Seok sets up shop in a former shaman's space. His clients come to him from the next dimension, occasionally possessing him. He does the body swap very well, and the stories are touching.
#ProBono is another legal drama, and it sounds like the cases will be interesting if I watch it. I was put off by the jokey tone when I previously started it.

I am not going to lie, I started this because I like #JungKyungHo. But the twists and characters in this were well done. Partner and I were both well engaged with this.

The corruption of the judiciary and law firm lawyers was slowly drawn out. And so was where Kang was going with his cases. We both really liked the ending, as independant lawyers they could go far.

Would watch again to catch all the hints.
