Living in the USA as an Israeli has brought me some of the most unexpected joys… like celebrating both Hanukkah and Christmas under one roof. ✨🎄🕎

Because of my interfaith marriage, our home now glows with two kinds of light — the soft flicker of the hanukkiah and the warm sparkle of the Christmas tree. And somehow, together, they tell one beautiful story:
two cultures, one family, one heart.

Being far from Israel isn’t always easy… especially after everything I’ve carried since October 7th. But this season reminds me that healing can come from the simplest moments — sharing traditions, embracing differences, and opening our hearts to someone else’s world.
