The #Debian package installation, upgrading, and removal testing suite, or #piuparts, started in mid-2005. Next year, it'll be 20 years old. Someone should arrange a celebration.

I'm no longer a #Debian developer myself, and so I won''t be developing this much further, but it was a fun hack for one evening. That's how #piuparts started, too, in 2005.

I feel confident that doing something system upgrade tests like this would make for an exciting project for someone who wants to contribute to Debian.
