Cory Doctorow writes well, but we do not believe that "the cost of #security is everything you believe in."

A person can have basic #privacy and security and still function. The problem is that #corporateFascists make such taboo via soft power in the form of #indoctrination, and difficult to achieve via aggressive tactics. This must stop.

Do your part:

1) seek computers with #physicalDisk drives (#DVD), not just USB.
2) use/support #FOSS.
3) support friends/family using #internetAnonymisers.

It gets even worse than that, they are trying remove #physicalDisk media like (#)DVD and #BluRay from #computing landscape.

Flash media is volatile and allegedly *terrible* at longterm storage when battery goes, one or two years after use.

We say #RealComputersHaveDiskDrives.

Thankfully there are people still making real computers but you need to look for them.
