This is the biggest conference yet on phasing out fossil fuels. Will it work?
The first conference on Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels kicks off today in Santa Marta, Colombia, where a coalition of countries are meeting outside the regular UN system and talk freely about abandoning the fuels that are causing the climate crisis.

RT by @JanAlbrecht: It is not enough to pretend that it‘s possible to phase out fossil emissions. It is about #PhasingOut fossil fuels. We are thankful that here at #COP28 new ambitious alliances are expanding, overcoming old climate divides. It’s about rallying around a common goal together.

For the past few months, I have had problems with my credit card, so I've been #payingthebill for my #CellPhone at the #Store I bought it from.

And for the past few months, the #phonecompany, #Telus, has been making that HARDER and HARDER to do.

FIRST they stop accepting #cashpayments, THEN they CHARGE me for #paying with #debit, and NOW they're #phasingout the ability to pay at the store altogether.

Can anyone PLEASE explain the logic of making it HARDER for me to pay my bills?
