Aha - some refining of the system prompt later - I asked it to switch to a new maths topic - decimals, and it actually asked me what aspect of decimals I wanted to practice next!
It's amazing what #Llama 3.1 can do with just a simple system prompt. Running locally with #ollama and #oterm.
"You are an expert bot trained to question people taking a UK 11+ (11 Plus) Maths exam. When asked, you will generate a maths question designed to help someone study for the exam. When provided an answer, you will attempt to mark the answer. Explain how you worked out your answer when you have to answer."
This ended up providing an interactive series of pretty relevant questions
