Theory - ie the assumptions that underpin our concepts, & the models we build with them - is important! The conditions in which econocrats practice have allowed #neoliberal #orthodoxies to become unquestioned, based in faith & impervious to evidence, creating a lucrative vehicle for ongoing plunder of government funds.

One issue that a lot of people, myself included are going to have with the #fediverse is that it makes the bubbles harder to pierce. Some of that is by design. The features that give control to individuals and let us protect ourselves make it easier to get stuck in self-selected information bubbles where #orthodoxies can calcify into dogma without being regularly challenged.
