My talk about #openautolab got accepted to #39c3! My squirrel brain is already in panic mode: what if a lot of people come??? too much pressure!!! what if too few come??? my project is worthless!!!

It'll be fine though, analytical part of my brain realizes that. Not gonna be my first talk, not gonna be the first performance in front of huge crowd, not gonna be the first one in an almost empty room either. The talk was picked and I'm ready to speak :D

The thing I need to concentrate the most, is to not get sick just before the #ccc, like I did the last time. Laying in bed as the thousands of hackers have fun and toot about it didn't feel well.

I'm planning to bring #openautolab to #39c3 and try to bring some more attention to it (and to #analogfotografie in general). I will definitely develop film for people who want to see the machine in action (black-and-white for sure, color if enough people want it). I will also bring some bulk film to roll and a couple of cameras for interested people to try.
Now I need advice from people more experienced with visiting #chaoscommunicationcongress : what else should I do? Should I make a lecture out of it? Lightning talk? Not sure what to talk about. About how I developed the machine? How it works? Why an #opensourcehardware film developing processor is needed in 2025? Auf meinem gebrochenen Deutsch oder auf Englisch? Halp!

@lilyvanilla that depends on the material. Rezin is almost always too transparent, but PLA and ABS should be good enough. Source: I made a lot of trial end error 3d-printing film-developing stuff, see #openautolab
But hey, let's troubleshoot! What is the wall thickness? Are you sure that the problem is not in light trap of the tank, but the walls themselves? Can you share the tank model you used?

Not that it's the finest choice of projects :3, but I've found lots of ones that never crossed my radar, although being in my areas-of-interest. Totally worth having a look.

@janamarie hi, have you by any chance seen the DIY film developing machine at the congress, #openautolab? If not, check it out, could be interesting for you. If you did, check it out anyways, I've just released v0.6.
