Il Tempo: Vino, Decaro: "Incertezza frena export e turismo in Puglia ma si stanno aprendo nuovi mercati"

Roma, 14 apr. (Adnkronos) - A causa della situazione geopolitica attuale "c'è una contrazione sia nell'export dei vini, sia nell'arrivo di turisti legati all'enoturismo, perché non c'è certezza di quello che potrà accadere nelle prossime settimane e nei prossimi mesi. Però i produttori sono convinti che il dato resterà consolidato anche per quest'anno perché si chiudono alcuni mercati ma se ne aprono degli altri". E' quanto ha detto il presidente della Regione Puglia, Antonio Decaro, intervistato in occasione del Vinitaly dalla direttrice di Telebari, Maddalena Mazzitelli.
"Penso - ha spiegato - ai buyer che sono arrivati dalla Cina e dall'Argentina e Brasile, due Paesi che fanno parte del Mercosur, mercato che l'Europa sta aprendo in queste settimane. Stiamo per concludere gli ultimi accordi che ci permetteranno di avere scambi reciproci soprattutto nel settore dell'agricoltura".
"Credo la possibilità di far incontrare i nostri produttori, con 103 cantine oggi qui presenti, con i buyer internazionali, quelli che acquistano i nostri prodotti, sia importante, strategico. Per noi il vino è un prodotto importante. Ho creduto fosse importante - ha aggiunto - anche guardare cosa fanno le altre regioni, perché sono stato ospite dagli altri presidenti di regione per vedere come si muovono".
In Puglia, ha ricordato Decaro, ci sono "90mila ettari di viti" che dal punto di vista economico generano un mercato di "oltre 300 mln di euro" con "230 milioni di euro di export. Il vino diventa anche ambasciatore della nostra regione, della nostra terra, di quelle che sono le nostre tradizioni. Molte cantine oggi fanno anche ospitalità, sono diventate anche delle masserie. E' uno dei settori più affascinanti dell'enograstronomia", ha rimarcato il presidente, spiegando come "il vino e l'olio siano prodotti importanti" che fanno parte di un settore, quello dell'agricoltura, che "in Puglia rappresenta il 6% del Pil regionale", il doppio di quello nazionale "che è solo del 3%". Per questo, ha invitato Decaro, "dobbiamo trasformare di più, imbottigliare di più, seguire le filiere" sulle quali "dobbiamo investire. Quella del vino si sta consolidando e non è più una novità nel panorama nazionale".

We are about to conclude the final agreements that will allow us to have reciprocal exchanges, especially in the agricultural sector.”

“I believe it is important, strategic, to bring together our producers, with 103 wineries present here today, with international buyers, those who buy our products. For us, wine is an important product. I thought it was important – he added – to see what others are doing in other regions, because I was a guest of the other regional presidents to see how they are moving.”

In Puglia, Decaro recalled, there are “90,000 hectares of vineyards” which, from an economic point of view, generate a market of “over 300 million euros” with “230 million euros in exports. It is one of the most fascinating sectors of enogastronomy,” the president emphasized, explaining how “wine and olive oil are important products” that are part of a sector, that of agriculture, which “in Puglia represents 6% of the regional GDP,” twice that of the national “which is only 3%.” For this reason, Decaro invited, “we must transform more, bottle more, follow the supply chains” on which “we must invest. The wine sector is consolidating and is no longer a novelty in the national landscape.”
