Had this been a four-hour race, my lungs would have made it to the finish! But it’s best not to push them very much beyond this limit, so off home we go. Fingers crossed there’ll be cars that can finish the #nls5, because the track feels rather empty right now…

I’m not sure what is going on, but in the 20 minutes I’ve been in this spot I’ve seen three flat-bed trucks with crashed cars, two oil vehicles, a sicherheits car, three medical cars and two ambulances pass by. Race is still green though. #nls5

Why do stairs exist? #nls5

There are people who believe my number one reason to go to #nls5 is to see the race cars. Hahaha! How wrong they are.

The man in front of me is holding a phone conversation. During #nls5. With nearly a hundred cars shooting past non-stop at full throttle. I’ve no clue how he’s managing it.

Things learned from watching the group starts:
- going four-wide into turn one is fine
- it’s okay to use the grass as an extension of the track, it’s not as if there’s a dry spell and there will be dust
- we can absolutely win this race on lap 1
