#NFL announcer in the #TBvsDet game today said that having to make 1 out of 2 2-point tries at a 55% success rate per try is better than having to make both extra point kicks at a 95% success rate per try.

Pretty sure that math doesn’t work.

(The #Bucs didn’t make it on their first try, but then they might not get another chance which would make the whole exercise moot.)

(The percentages are what the announcer claimed are the league-average success rate this year. Of course if the Bucs are much better than the league at 2-point conversions then it might make sense. I think they have to have at least a 66% success rate at 2-pointers for it to be a wash. But of course I could be bad at math too. But probably not as bad as the announcer.)
