When an app tells me that if I don't update they will block the service, I usually can expect the worst.
This time, it was #whatsapp. After forcedully updating, it is filled with communities, channels (including one with "nazi" in the bame), facebook avatars... it's like facebook lite.

A good Instant Messaging app only needs to do one thing: Send Instant Messages. #Telegram or #Signal, please. Forks without the bloat like #nekogram if possible

Time to start looking for a new IM service now that #Telegram is closer to becoming a clone of wechat, whatsapp, line, etc.

Stories is where I draw the line, and it has been crossed. Once #Kotakogram and #nekogram stop working (they have not been updated in like forever, and Samsung loves to kill any service that did not come from the play store), i will need to migrate again to something else.

Signal? Resurrecting #XMPP ? A clone of #ICQ or MSN Messenger? I only want to message, nothing more.
