@pkrugman I tooted the other day that owning a #tesla is rapidly getting wearing a #maga hat vibes. For the looks of it, I’m glad that I think you would agree with that statement #muskopalypse
@datenritter So verstehe ich es. Bin aber auch erst seit der #Muskopalypse bei Mastodon. 🤪

Opinion | America should stop worshiping billionaires - The Washington Post https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/11/11/billionaire-worship-crypto-bankman-fried-musk/

"There’s the ongoing spectacle of Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest man, who with his seemingly impulsive purchase of Twitter, as my colleague Catherine Rampell memorably put it, set $44 billion on fire. Musk acolytes insist he knows what he’s doing, but I must say things do not look promising. Musk, the chief executive of SpaceX and Tesla, is seemingly grasping at virtual straws, firing and then un-firing people as he realizes the company needs them, coming up with a head-spinning number of plans to profit from check-mark subscriptions, promoting a plan to turn the service into a fintech, and threatening bankruptcy. High-level staffers are mostly gone, and the Federal Trade Commission is expressing concerns."

Let’s put the myth of the billionaire genius to rest

Sam Bankman-Fried? Elon Musk? The Powerball winner? Having a billion dollars doesn't mean you're uniquely smart.

@Kraemer_HB @eraitch

I get what you are saying, and you are right: we should keep religious notions out, however, as the debate goes right now one easily gets the impression of "#Muskopalypse" and "#Twexodus" express the emotions of the debate, with "Satan" (Musk) on one side and those who are looking for a new home on the other.

#Twexit might not be a bad choice. #TwitterEmigration and #MastodonImmigration are of course pretty neutral. We shall see what Hashtag people will turn to.

@thomasfuchs

just boosted this to enjoy the #muskopalypse term you coined!
