That's how our hike at the #mummelsee started ... and how it was when we were up there. - But the walk was quite okay.

We checked the rain radar and decided to go back down rather quickly. We leveraged our rain gear and it did not disappoint us! 🙂

So we didn't see the area atop - the so called #Hornisgrinde - well. Maybe next time - if we visit the #schwarzwald again

Good morning!
Here are some photos from the #Mummelsee in the #Schwarzwald . We wanted to visit it last year already but somehow just managed to go there this time.

The lake itself is scenic and beautiful. But definitely a "hot spot". Luckily we were there at a day/time where there was no rush of people. But still I didn't find the inner calm to go for a real photo walk.

Day 6 / Mummelsee and the Wilderness Path in the Black Forest

On the sixth day of our Black Forest trip, we visited two special spots at a gentler pace after five active days. First, we explored the picturesque yet tourist-frequented Mummelsee, then hiked towards Hornisgrinde’s moorlands before retreating due to weather. Later, we ventured on a wild, natural forest path, soaking in the pristine beauty despite rain and fatigue.
