That's how our hike at the #mummelsee started ... and how it was when we were up there. - But the walk was quite okay.

We checked the rain radar and decided to go back down rather quickly. We leveraged our rain gear and it did not disappoint us! πŸ™‚

So we didn't see the area atop - the so called #Hornisgrinde - well. Maybe next time - if we visit the #schwarzwald again

@hikingdude
Nice pics, Franz! I especially like the ground-level view of the trail in the upper right pic. I recall your mentioning before a challenge in photographing solid green areas (not sure if this is the same area), but the leading line delineating the trail and green foliage on the right side places a nice focus on the green.

@TimKStanton thank you Tim! For both, remembering my post - and yes it's about the same region - and for noticing how I tried to build up the photo.

The photo itself - I find it a bit unbalanced. Quite heavy on the right. But I experimented a bit with setting the camera near ground to make a more interesting photo. πŸ™‚

@hikingdude
Oh, yes, I see what you mean by it being unbalanced. But perhaps the effect *should* be unbalanced to illustrate the variability of nature-- such as a view along the length of ocean surf-- definitively "unbalanced" from a photographic point-of-view, but also appropriately illustrating how dynamic nature is. Or of a cliff, etc... The green on the right seems like a "wave" of green coming down the mountainside. I like it the way it is. πŸ˜€

@TimKStanton
I see what you mean. - and to be honest: not every photo needs to be a super perfect photo as long as holds memories.

And when you like it - then it's a good photo πŸ™‚

Nice to see. Well know every meter from this region. Grew up there.
@2025_mx ohh! Then you grew up in a very nice area
πŸ˜†agree, but with the result that I cannot be without mountains arround me.
@[email protected] Is it the Black Forest in Germany? If so, I’ve never been there and I only know it by name. It really makes you want to go explore, it’s beautiful! I also took the opportunity to visit your website, it’s very good as well. Keep up the great work πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘

@Sima2R hey Sima!
Yes exactly, the Schwarzwald. It's really a gem. We've been there twice now.

And thank you so much for checking my website πŸ™
