New blog post: earlier this week I wrote a "reminder" post for my future self about creating a test/copy of another company in #MSDynGP, to update the SY00100 table after doing that.

Check it out here: https://jenkuntz.ca/2024/03/restoring-a-copy-of-a-gp-company-reminder/

Restoring a copy of a GP company reminder

This post is a reminder to Microsoft Dynamics GP admins who may be creating a test company or copy of a company for other reasons, that the SY00100 table may need updating before logging into GP.

A quick reminder to all my #CanPay #MSDynGP friends out there: if you have not installed the January 2024 hotfix for Dynamics GP, the #CanadianPayroll T4 #XML files need editing before submitting to the CRA or they will fail. There is an invalid tag for the new employer-offered dental field.

More info about what to do was in my year-end post (and Microsoft's). Editing the file is easy if you have not installed the year-end hotfix.

(Updated Jan 26th) This post is for Dynamics GP sites with Canadian Payroll about a hotfix released on Jan 24, 2024. Review to see if any of these things affect your environment.

Check out my post if you are in this particular niche space in our little #MSDynGP community! 😂
