New blog post (geez, it's been a minute...). The CRA has changed their XML schema for the T619, which means T4 and T5 XML files among others are impacted. There are tips for #MSDYNGP Canadian Payroll customers and general tips for others dealing with these changes plus examples of the T619 using 3 different scenarios.
Today, I received an email from Terry Heley of Microsoft confirming that the End of Support date for Microsoft Dynamics GP has been extended by 3 months from 30th September 2029 to 31st December 20…

A quick reminder to all my #CanPay #MSDynGP friends out there: if you have not installed the January 2024 hotfix for Dynamics GP, the #CanadianPayroll T4 #XML files need editing before submitting to the CRA or they will fail. There is an invalid tag for the new employer-offered dental field.
More info about what to do was in my year-end post (and Microsoft's). Editing the file is easy if you have not installed the year-end hotfix.

Did you know that T4s are the gift that keeps on giving? LOL... payroll year-end is SUCH a fun time.
For those #MSDynGP users with hashtag#CanPay (Canadian Payroll), there are a couple of gotchas with the 2023 T4s this time you might run into.
