Mp3Splt-project is a utility to split mp3, ogg vorbis and native FLAC files selecting a begin and an end time position, without decoding.

Unfortunately, the last released was back in 2014.

Right now I "pump up the volume" on submitted music by importing each track into #Tenacity and running the "Normalize" effect. I've been meaning to figure out how to do this using #ffmpeg so I can batch the files, which I'm already doing to trim silence using #mp3splt

Our playback software, #LibreTime is supposed to adjust #ReplayGain when importing new tracks, but it's an old version and it doesn't work reliably.

@fitheach Thank you for sharing, did not even know that such exists - splitting an audio source file based on various markers (e.g. silence) is great automation! Plus mp3splt-gtk as UI #mp3splt #AudioProcessing #linux
