This Network Rail test train was in the #Cambridge reception roads one wet morning last week.

The vehicle behind the loco had been a #Motorail van. I was at the 1999 launch of FGW’s restarted Motorail service which featured these vans, newly-converted at the time.

The service was dropped after a few years and some of the vans have ended up with NwR – including the one seen here.
