Myanmar’s Okkar Min Maung wins Mister Tourism World 2016 in Vigan, Ilocos Sur

Okkar Min Maung (ဥက္ကာမင်းမောင်) represented Myanmar in the inaugural edition of Mister Tourism World and competed against 12 other candidates at the Vigan Convention Center in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on December 10, 2016. He won the title.

The coronation ceremony was originally set to be held in Indonesia but it was moved to Vigan. Guam, Lebanon, Serbia and Sri Lanka were supposed to represented but their candidates withdrew from the competition.

19 Mister Tourism World 2026 candidates competing in Chiang Mai

Nguyễn Hữu Hưng represented Vietnam at Mister Tourism World 2025 and competed against 24 other candidates at the Vinh Hy Bay in Ninh Thuận, Vietnam on February 18, 2025. He won the title.

Benedict is a Chinese-Indian-Malaysian human rights advocate, model and beauty king. He was born in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia to an Indian-Portuguese father, who is a retired navy officer, and a Chinese mother.

Aside from Johor Bahru, Benedict has lived in other parts of Malaysia including Kedah. At a very young age, he was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
