Mr. GMI may just switch to this "Yet Another Rhythm Game" thing in the future. My gaming PC/HTPC is still technically running Win10 whenever I power it back on... When I stop putting off choosing a Linux distro for gaming and set it up, it looks like I should be set to use it for this purpose. It looks like I should be able to use my official Rock Band DLC and customs with minimal conversions as well?
Nope, that didn't work. The frustrating thing with Rock Band 3 hacking is that all of the guides are like "Oh yeah, use this Windows-exclusive tool to move songs to a USB drive then plug that into the console to install them" when it's like... I have FTP access. I can move files without rummaging around for a flash drive then setting up WINE. Nobody says WHERE to FTP the files to though, and RB3e/RB3DX won't load new files from the standard directories...
The eventual goal is to verify I can figure out how to add new songs to my hacked Xbox 360 running Rock Band 3 Deluxe and Rock Band 3 Enhanced without touching Windows. Once I verify I can figure out how to add more custom songs, I want to grab the "individual songs as DLC files" setup I have and start packaging them into files containing multiple songs each. I know this *can* be done, but I never got around to it back in the day.
