KIVA is crowdfunding for microcredits. I've been using it since november 2007, that's more than 18 years!

Here are some stats about how I use it:
- I've contributed to 1305 loans, usually $25 to each.
- I have around $3k in the system, but as they have been relended several times, I've lended for a total value of $33k
- I have contributed to loans in 79 different countries

Curious about what you think about the idea of providers becoming funders too -- a move that opens the possibility of microcredits with 0% interest or even at a discount, when doing the whole math.

¿Alguien por aquí tiene experiencias con microcréditos, o sabe de proyectos a observar o lecturas recomendadas?

Tengo una medio-idea en la cabeza, sólo un esbozo abstracto, y antes de que me embale con detalles quiero ver cómo está el patio de los microcréditos hoy día, especialmente en entornos más online y a ser posible descentralizados / alternativos. Lo poco que sabía está más relacionado con comunidades rurales o de barrios urbanos.
