It was fun seeing the lanterns at the time when daylight melts into evening darkness, and the lights become more brilliant. In addition to the lighting displays, we were fortunate to see the elephants, Amur tigers, grizzly bears, and wolves.

This #Cleveland #Metroparks #TrailChallenge 2024 blog post covers the trails I biked in November, and hiked in December.
I had already "met the challenge" back in February, but decided to end the year by completing the rest of the land-based trails.
I completed 27 trails in all 18 of the Cleveland Metroparks reservations listed for the 2024 challenge!

Today, I went to the #Cleveland #Metroparks North Chagrin Nature Center and picked up my 2024 #TrailChallenge sticker and prize that I had earned back in February. 🌳
Went for a walk today and we even got to see a Red tailed hawk through my new binoculars (did not capture a pic of the hawk)
Like people, some trees burst out quickly with the new, while others cling to the old for as long as possible. Photos taken on the same day in the same forest.
