making my way down my followers list, trying to re-follow-back everyone who's still active-ish on fedi! but it's a bit of a slog because the migration from #mastodonDotLol just kinda dumped everyone into a big unsortable pile ​

i'm not even close to making it all the way through the list, but if you see this post and i haven't followed you back yet, please fave/comment! ​ i'll follow you back as soon as i can, and it'll save me some time when i find the spoons to go wading through the list again ​ ​

good news!!! i managed to get my own #selfHosted #mastodon instance set up, and it appears to be working perfectly, which means the obvious next step is to...

... smash it with a hammer and start from scratch again, to make sure i actually do know how to set an instance up (and didn't just get lucky the first time)! ​

i should probably write down what i'm doing this time, too. would that be helpful for anyone else? ​

alright, #mastodonDotLol is scaring me by repeatedly going down so i should probably start migrating over to my new instance 

i think i want to try recreating my profile by going back to when i first created this account and reposting (or reboosting) everything in order until i reach this post, or until i give up because it ends up being too much 🤣

so i'll be doing that before migrating follows/followers to avoid spamming you all 😇 i hope nobody minds me boosting their old posts 👀

So #mastodondotlol is #down - cloudflare warning message. Since the admin of that instance stopped reading or replying to messages, it's even money whether he'll get a notification of this latest.

I had migrated my account, pulled over all of my followers/lists/bookmarks/et al, and downloaded my content. But I was slowly manually reposting content from that account to this one.

Here's hoping that those who hadn't yet migrated will still get a chance to do so.
