Any concerns I had about being unable to be moved emotionally by anything anymore have been cast aside for the moment.
The movie remix of "Rinbu Revolution" and the subsequent musical score for the final eight minutes of the Adolescence of Utena film just popped up in my shuffle play, and the chills won't stop going up my back and neck.
Music (and remembering its associated images) still moves me.

I still get chills every time I hear a piece of music from the Utena movie soundtrack. In my mind I can always picture the scene the music belongs to, since for me the music and visuals of that film are inseparable.
Being my favorite anime film might have something to do with it, too…

Masami Okui quietly released a cover album at the end of last year and it included this cover of a 1989 song by Mari Hamada. I listened to the original and it seemed natural that Okui would cover it. It just has that vibe.
