Happy to see this manu-o-Kū chick and parent. You can’t really tell the gender of adult manu-o-Kū. Both parents care for the chick. They lay eggs directly on branches (no nests) and often sit on the chick when they’re very young, so it was fortunate timing to see them both. #manuoKū #manuoku #whitetern #birds #birdsofmastodon
