I don't get much in the way of positive reinforcement, so when I got this message recently it really #MadeMyDay He sent it private so I removed his information but it really made me feel like I am not just a speck of dust in an uncaring universe.

Today, I got an email from a new fan of my blog.

It's been a while since I got one of those and when I saw it and started reading it, I naturally assumed that it was just another scammer trying to get me to buy something or do something for them.

What a pleasant surprise as I read through and discovered it was not! It was just someone who'd found my blog, read some of it, and was impressed enough to take a moment to write to me.
