I've said it before, I'll say it again: no one should ever have trusted Twitter with their privacy. Same goes for FB, Instagram, etc, etc.

I hope that, out of all the lessons to learn here, people really take this one to heart. Take control of your own privacy and security, don't keep handing it over to companies that value profit and ad revenue above all else. These revelations may seem shocking but a lot of high-value corps are run like this.
