The #Clarion lists every #bookshop in #Oxford, including a new one in the Golden Cross passage which I hadn't spotted yet:

Every bookshop in Oxford

Oxford is a city of books and bookshops. Reporting on a new opening in the city centre encouraged your Clarion team to think about their favourites ... Independent bookshops Caper, Magdalen Road Children's books, cookery books, and more in East Oxford's Magdalen Road Village since 2023. There’s even a wardrobe

With the Little Free Library company charging a fee to appear on their maps and use the name, I realized there are a lot of “dark” libraries I’ve seen on my local walks and rides, that do not appear on their official registry. I’ve started a map with photos of ones I come across on my walks and bike rides in this area. Hope to expand and update the area covered as time and wandering permits.

Cafe Arcane
Flame ombré lettering! Dramatic rescues from ice holes! Sinister old men and gun-toting baddies, mountaintop gondolas and explosions! Now that’s what I call an exciting book cover. From 1983. #littlelibraries #adventure #bookstodon
First edition of BC author Jane Rule’s “The Young in One Another’s Arms” (1977). Despite its suggestive title and its distinction as an early lesbian novel, with characters on the run from serving in the war in Vietnam, the cover is so so so boring. Some people find the novel boring as well. #littlelibraries #sapphicbooks #canlit
