#LiesParentsTellTheirChildren When I was little there was a running joke in my family that anyone who didn't eat fish on Good Friday would turn into a Donkey. I, being a neurodivergent child, took the joke seriously. Cue one Good Friday evening & my parents are driving a hysterical 6 year old me around Adelaide, past 8pm, desperately trying to find an open chip shop, because I had remembered I had not eaten fish that Good Friday & was convinced I would turn into a Donkey. 😅

#liesparentstelltheirchildren the naivity that if you work hard enough and are honest you'll always do good in your job and have a successful career. Still haunts me today.
