Laughton Greenwood near #Lewes in #Sussex will be holding its tenth anniversary celebration on the 2nd of August this year and I'll be teaching some woodland craft workshops at the event which will also feature children's activities, woodland art, a shared picnic with jacket potatoes cooked in the clay oven and woodland restoration volunteering.

Laughton Greenwood is a lovely volunteer run community wood project restoring a neglected pine plantation to native woodland species. I was involved right back at the start of the project with all the admin involved in purchasing the woodland and setting up group and made them their first website, which has now been superceded by a far superior website https://www.laughtongreenwood.co.uk/ It's also where the photo of me brandishing an axe in my profile picture was taken. It's slightly terrifying how quick a decade can pass.
