The Little Drummer Boy Challenge concluded last night, 12/23 at 11:59 pm. If you survived from Thanksgiving until last night without hearing that dreaded bongo boi banging out his pum beats, then you won.

I won this year, hooray! One year I was out in just a few hours. Several times I made it most of the way only to be drummed out in the last day or two.

O, Fortune! How like the moon, always increasing and decreasing, constantly changing!

Did you win? Sound off!

Heading into the home stretch of the Little Drummer Boy Challenge (#LDBChallenge), so far unscathed. I am being as cautious as I can, and optimistic that I might make it this year. A small reward for an otherwise generally awful year.

How are you doing?

#LDBC

I lost #LDBC this week, thanks to family being on a Pentatonix kick, and also, an grocery store outing

I spent an anxious hour at the dentist's office as they blared Christmas carols in order to drown out the sounds of dental drills and patients wailing and weeping; and to my great relief there was no Little Drummer Boy! Phew, that felt close.

I am still in.

These are indeed dangerous times for players in the Little Drummer Boy Challenge, #LDBC, especially if you watch movies and TV shows. The Boy Keeping A New Mother Awake With His Bongo Beat appears in the background of much media.

Fortunately, the official LDBC site has a list of some films and shows that include the song that must not be heard. The comments at the top include links to additional lists. Happy safe(r) viewing.

Deadly Movies and TV

@VisualStuart ahh, @BugZ and I lost the https://ldbgame.net/rules/ on Thursday, for the first time in many years. Lost it good though, at least two different versions played while out to PDX BSD Pizza Night. I didn't realize the #LDBC was a different thing. Explains why I remembered it starting after Thanksgiving.
Rules

The rules of this game are simple: Avoid hearing the song “The Little Drummer Boy” (LDB) from dawn on November 1 through dawn on December 26. The bonus round is from dawn on December 26…

OK. I’m in. I was caught off guard last year at the train depot downtown.
They won’t get me this year!
#LDBC

It's coming... the dreaded Little Drummer Boy, arguably the most insipid Christmas carol that ever was.

The Little Drummer Boy Challenge (#LDBChallenge #LDBC) provides comfort and joy to those avoiding this loathsome tune. Starting at midnight after Thanksgiving, you are still in if you have not heard the song of Bongo Boi Crashes The Nativity until Christmas Eve.
