Just published my Laracon EU 2026 recap. Lots of great talks this year — highlights for me were Dan Harrin on abstractions, Peter Suhm on unblocking users with AI, and Shane Rosenthal showing NativePHP rendering actual native iOS and Android elements.

Also a good reminder to finally look more seriously at PostgreSQL.

* @danharrin’s talk on building better abstractions…I learned a strategy on more effective error message and was reminded about a ideasthat I need to get back in to

* @ryangjchandler's talk on handling the unhappy path, which is something I forget often, need to get better at it.

* @simonhamp's talk on using PHP to build native mobile apps. What he and Shane have built enable devs like me to actually build mobile apps for clients.
