The Land-Ship Mural on George Street in Glasgow. The Land-Ship was a mock up of a ship's navigation deck mounted on a rotatable base and fitted with a Kelvin Compass installed in the 1910s on the roof of the School of Navigation (part of the Royal Technological College, which later became Strathclyde University). It functioned as a teaching aid to help the students learn about compass adjustments.
