#BACKROOMS the YouTube series is more interesting and scarier and more mind-twisting than the new A24 movie.
I think if they'd just taken the whole series of BACKROOMS YouTube shorts, stitched 'em together as a 2-hr-plus (if that) film, no edits, just one after the other, it'd do as well in cinemas.
The "screenplay" in the new movie often feels very "studio execs sez we need to hire a hip screenwriter"-ish, and not Kane Pixels-ish.
