Been slowly picking away at this. Did the Marsh Cave, did Astos' castle, did the post-mystic key loot grab. Bought FIRE3 for my black mages, maxed out my heals, ready to start looting the Earth Cave. Two levels this morning. Still grinding in the sea around Pravoka. Two fighters (need short swords, iron armour) and two black mages (spells!) is a very expensive combo. I remember when I did 4 BB and solo BB and gold was largely useless. #ff1 #jcdff1

In Mirage Tower right now. At this point, the game is very easy. Three Knights is almost as much firepower as three Masters, but with the ability to soak considerable amounts of damage.

A few days in and I cleared the Earth Cave last night, did the Castle of Ordeals this morning, and just heading off to the Ice Cave before I do the class change. Characters are L15, so should be able to get some decent casting levels before I go for the ending.

Three fighters is 100% easy mode. The only issue I've come up with is the lack of armour space for picking up extra items. The last few runs have been heavily BB based, where I load them up like camels.

And, done! Chaos didn't even try anything nasty. Just a couple of direct hits and Inferno, which doesn't deal that much damage. Cast FAST on everyone and this was all over in about three rounds.
