I’ve been tasked with writing some processes, procedures and related documentation and immediately thought about information mapping. I worked a lot with that 18-20 years ago.

When I now try to google it, I get very few results. It’s like the world has moved on and invented something else.

What have I missed?

Triggered by a wiki post by @simondueckert, I tried to make sense of the ‘Information Mapping’ method. I found an intro video on the ‘Information Mapping International’ YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@informationmappinginternat8423/featured. I now wonder: Is this method still in active use? Is the only way to learn it through this company’s training? It feels proprietary, like the WOL method, but for Information Management. Anyone out there with more insights into this approach? #InformationMapping #InformationManagement

Does anybody know a NoteCards, HyperCard or any other hypertext-based note-taking application that's still maintained?

I'm of course aware of wikis (including TiddlyWiki) and wiki-like software (like Zim). And I want MOAR.

For instance, on Symbolics LispMs there used to be Symbolics Concordia + Symbolics Document Examiner. Even the HyperSpec itself (although read-only) is a work of [hypertext] art.

So - any pointers, hints, gossip? I'd love to know more about hypertext-based projects, esp. those focused on notes.

has anybody here read books about or taken courses on Information Mapping? I’d like to give it a try but I’ve heard the method is a bit controversial
