Arthur Hildersham, Puritan, on Psalm 51, the idea of one’s heart being made like God’s. He reflects on charity and the life of Jesus, who went about doing good w/ miracles for the benefit of all. Though he had immense power, he never used it to destroy anyone, even when meeting “the most lewd men”, even when his disciples requested it.
Would we feel the need to do something Jesus never did?
