Still 3 runners on the next loop. Looks like they can’t get enough after over 240 km in 37 rounds. And the sun is setting again. 😅
Right now there are another 8 runners on their 28th round and counting. They are approaching 200 km if they finish their 30th round 🤯.
Its incredible how the field and field depth of participants has grown the last few years.
182 runners going beyond marathon distance. 108 beyond 67 km. 81 for 12 hours. 58 for 100 km. 16 for 100 miles.
Lets see how far those remaining will push rach other.
Had a nice sip of a cold sparkling beverage after the 9th round and got myself to stand up for a last circle: round 10.
So after 10 trips to Hell (train station) and back about 66.6 km were done.
Knees still holding for the rest of that round and I finshed my race after 9h 54min on a high note. :)
Rounds 8 and 9, still running in shorts and t-shirt. Or lets say, a bit more walking in between as my knees indicated that they truly had enough.
There was pizza after round 7, celebrating a longer run than the marathon distance of 42.195 km. A nice treat and strong magnet for many to keep on running.
Four rounds done, switched to shorts after the third round and changed shoes to vary a bit. Minimum-goal with about 27 km reached, lets see how the afternoon evolves.
Just finished packing for tomorrows #HellBackyard and feel like I've forgotten something. Weather forecast looks good with temperatures from 3 °C to 13 °C throughout the day.
Will be interesting to see how the legs feel and if the mind is ready for a few rounds. :)
