Last leg of #harvest23, forage Maize for silage. Great day for the job
So, it turns out that the slightly strange sensations I had been feeling in my right leg, which i had been putting down to all the KMs I had been doing coming up to Mondello24 were actually caused by a herniated disc in my back. Just when I thought the #harvest23 experience couldn't get much worse Tuesday morning proved the opposite, I can walk a little better this morning so I'm off shortly to see if I can climb up into the combine....
Day 4, best day yet, hopefully finish winter barley today. #harvest23 #farming #agriculture

The first #apples of #harvest23 have set in our orchard. About 6mm in diameter right now, they'll grow slowly at first, by cell division for the next 8 weeks orvso. After that, they continue to grow, but by cell expansion. They have about 150 days to grow another 70mm in diameter, to turn out as juicy, tasty, ripe apples by next October.
