I made the first seam for my nightgown. One picture shows the inside, the other one the outside. First I did a backstitch seam to connect the pieces, than a felled seam to tidy it up 😃

Update on the hand sewn nightgown project: the fabric has been washed, dried and ironed, and I’m ready to cut the pattern pieces 😃

Recently, I posted about my desire to get more into a me-made wardrobe. Well, I delved into the possibilities of hand sewing, and decided to get started with an early Victorian chemise. It will work as a comfy nightgown, I expect. I’ve got my linnen and pattern, so off I go! 😃
