Griffin’s amusement in the American Studies interview video is still making me laugh. I can see him possibly thinking it when they ask for three things about him and throughout he keeps smiling like “this is such important information“. Idk if anyone watched it, but when he says skating, he means skateboarding, not ice or roller.

Too often, I look for news of films Griffin was in last year since neither has released. One had its premiere which was nice, so some saw it and there were a ton of photos. On X (help me, it’s a source of news), I see a few fans of his co-star Hannah Einbinder lamenting it having not yet found a distributor and I feel that. Time Cut took three years to release, I try to remember that (did I say this the other say? Damn).

I hope they both happen. Imagine if they don’t especially when I read all the spoilery reviews of this one. That plus two photos and I’m already quite taken with his character.

I’ve got a cute photo of Griffin in costume as my phone background. He had a photoshoot a little while later, by his photographer friend, and the difference of vibes and poses was amazing (he was standing really open and relaxed in some and closed in the other).

Doing a week of extra-frequent frequency healing (heh, words). I fell asleep to it last night, though not for long. Was then awake until 3am and watched a cute clip of Griffin and co-stars back in March.

I took a bunch of screenshots, too many as I tried to capture all his expressions. Then sorted through them which didn’t take too long considering I had 99 😳 I do this to myself sometimes. If not a fanblog, maybe I could have been good in a social media job, idk.

I could only post 30 at once on tumblr so whittled it down. Easy enough since there are three of them in the photos and, as people move and talk, you can catch an off-moment. Griffin laughs a lot and just looks hecking cute.

Also I finally figured out why his sweater is kinda funny. It says “proud gaslighter”. I’m sure if you asked, he’d assure you he’s not really. But wait… 😏

They’re a high elf shadow sorcerer which took me a while to decide. I was thinking of drow or seldarine drow, but they’re so committed to and against a goddess.

The game picked a fabulous smirk for the profile picture. Perhaps due to their background of Charlatan. I’ll have to get a better photo once I’m further into the game and can use the mirror since I forgot to do it when I made them.

Occasionally there’s a photo of Griffin posing somewhat in character, though it can be ambiguous. This is possibly more him, but looking a little moody. Dressed half as Gabe (the sweater and hairstyle).

Pretty in Pink is an old movie I’m curious about because the actor playing Duckie, Jon Cryer, played Griffin Gluck’s dad in Big Time Adolescence in 2018. Not long later, Griffin played Jack Dunkleman in Tall Girl and they based him somewhat on Duckie. I don’t know if the filmmakers knew they’d played father and son just a year before.

There are also similarities in the films’ themes of an outcast girl and the choice between suitors.

I wouldn’t have realised but, now I know, I can see it in some of the costume choice, especially the jacket and pin badges, as well as the name (Jack also gets called Dunkers).

Oh heck. There’s a costume worn by Griffin in a film ten years ago when he was 15 (Middle School movie). Grey jeans, black jacket, red shirt, black tshirt, maybe a black hoodie too. It’s been halved in price and they’ve just sent me an offer of half off again.

If you look it up, btw, the photos include a film spoiler because it’s from the final scenes.

I wasn’t planning to buy it, but had added it the watch list. Shipping would be another amount. I really need a 15-year-old boy’s overpriced outfit sitting in my wardrobe 😂 It amuses me that they’ve had it for a decade.

I’m not above some of these things, though. A while ago I bought a signed photo and script. They’d also been sitting around for five years or more. These sellers are patient. He drew a lovely :) on the script and his autograph’s pretty in cursive, especially the curly Gs and Fs.

A small part of me is tempted, though.

One of the first videos I saw of Griffin when I became a fan was the Cosmopolitan taste test. This clip shows him twanging a pair of women’s knickers as he tries to decide which are more expensive. Having just seen loads of his work, especially as a kid, I was not prepared for this 😆
