Electric heat to cost 77 percent more than natural gas, federal agency says
The Energy Information Administration (EIA) says the winter fuels outlook for 2023 and 2024 indicates that nationally, the average US homeowner who uses electricity to heat their home will pay about $462 more this winter, or 77% more than the ones who use natural gas.
