#Scania is one of the world's largest manufacturers of #heavyTrucks. Last year they had the goal for 2030 that "half of our annual sales volume will come from electric solutions" and the target to use "100% #greenBatteries, 100% #GreenSteel, 100% green aluminium and 100% green cast iron in its production"*.

One year later, 1/8th of the way to 2030, Scania is standing by both goals. Would be interesting to measure their progress.

Coal mines can be transformed into giant green batteries. Engineers have developed a system that uses water and gravity to store and release energy. This could help balance the grid and reduce fossil fuel dependence.
