Apparently, #macOS ships an ancient version of #gperf (3.0.3) from 2007! Of course, you can use something like #Homebrew or #MacPorts to install a newer version, but of course Apple LOVES to ship ancient developer tools! /s

(I get it's probably a GPL v3 issue, but I'm afraid I do not care because I'm very confident and certain you can still find a way to ship these developer tools without violating the GPL v3. At least, if you're that big a company you can. Do better, #Apple)!
